Duane E. Bland, was born and raised in south Louisiana. During his teenage years he attended schools in Thibodaux. It was during these years that Duane committed his life to the Lord and met his wife to be, Rachel. Soon after being married, they began to attend the Word Of Life Church in Chauvin, Louisiana. After fifteen years of service to the ministry, Duane and Rachel brought their ministry to the city of Thibodaux. In 1999, they started the Thibodaux Family Church, a non-denominational Christian church. They are very excited about their new assignment and for the opportunity of returning home. The new congregation comprises of residents from the Thibodaux/Houma area and they are excited to bring the love of Jesus and their Christian ministry to the people of south Louisiana. In these early days of development, their goal is to develop a solid foundation for the fulfillment of a larger vision.

Duane and Rachel Bland live in Thibodaux, Louisiana and have three children -- Leah, Kayla, and Christin.
